The Original Tie-Dye
Share
After watching the sweet and timely movie “Remarkably Bright Creatures” with Sally Field and Lewis Pullman, I overheard a man talking about Octopuses a few days later. Still despite thinking that an octpus might soon show up in a scribble drawing, it wasn't quite that simple.
At first I only saw the simplicity of a balloon floating up through the clouds in the original Scribble and quickly drew it out a few days ago. then last night I saw something totally different, as is often the case.

I don’t know about you, but I have to look at least twice to see what I may have overlooked. Sometimes when I’m leaving in the morning, I come back so many times, the dog wonders if I’m really going anywhere. While revisiting the original scribble, my imagination took me from the upper atmosphere to deeper amusement underwater.

Making Today’s Scribble incorporates multiple phases from my time as illustrator, designing logos, painting murals on furniture, and pulling wire sculptures. My motivation has always been to create something lighthearted, positive, or inspirational to help balance the whirled.
To that end, it’s my goal to post the stories behind the scribbles, same day, in my Scribblog, so I can share the message it had for me. Today is about second glances and taking the time to explore deeper.
Community is also an important part of my art process, so subscribe to the Scribblog, and also get updates about collection drops, and exclusive deals.
Have a great day!
